A NOTE FROM JERRY GLAZER
Hi All:
I have been out of commission this week because of the need to take care of some recurring medical issues with VA Hospital. It seems the older I get, the more manageable medical conditions become unmanageable. Go figure. But what do I know anyway? Not much if you ask my wife and kids, and come to think of it, most people who know me. Hey, but I’m not one to complain. I like the words of one of the 20th Century's greatest military minds, the late Drill Sergeant Greeley. When having dislocated my shoulder during one of the training incidents and rolling around in the dirt in pain, he came over, put my shoulder back in the socket, and told me to finish the exercise. His reason: On the battlefield you will have no one to help you; so suck it up and get your rear end at the end to the course. And that I did, and it stuck with me for all time, and I DID use it multiple times on the battlefields and in the jungles. But, shucks, guys, it sure was, and never is easy! Speak to you again when I’m back to normal. Oh, Vietnam vets can never get back to normal. Okay then, when I’m able. I guess that should do. Take care.
